Jaxon
Jaxon started in 1991 as a key international sourcing option for Triax in Michigan, supplying steel and iron casting for brake beam manufacturing. Jaxon relocated into their current building in Mineral Ridge in January 2017 and continued to increase their railroad product offerings. In 2020 Jaxon began investing in new fabrication equipment to expand capabilities in and out of rail products. Late 2021 Jaxon acquired YSD Industries’ boxcar door and parts business, keeping it from moving out of state. Jaxon’s capabilities include various parts for railcars, railroad maintenance, and several non-railroad-related products including laser burning, bending and welding.
CTC has begun construction of a new 30,000 SF (300’ x 100’ x 28’-6” eave height) facility located on Jaxon’s current property in Mineral Ridge, OH. This new facility will be used for the production of boxcar doors, other manufactured items and warehousing. The new building will have an interior buildout which includes men’s and women’s employee locker room/restrooms, a breakroom, offices and a mezzanine for storage/future expansion. Additional features of the new facility include a loading dock, fully heated interior shop with intake/exhaust fans, and subsurface infrastructure for welding stations.
