Nick Sheely, EIT

DESIGN ENGINEER, C. TUCKER COPE & ASSOCIATES

Nick specializes in stormwater management and site design. His main focus is designing ways to control runoff from storm events by utilizing underground storage, detention ponds, and providing a site with proper ways to reach storage devices. Nick also assists in preliminary building layout design using Revit. He has completed the design for complex sites including the redevelopment of a contaminated 17-acre site including the layout of two structural buildings, four underground storage chambers to collect stormwater and all catch basins and pipe conveyance to the underground systems to meet all PADEP and local Conservation Districts’ requirements for stormwater and erosion and sediment control. Nick has also designed numerous other smaller sites that involved meeting local municipalities’ and the governing EPA/DEP’s requirements. Nick’s success is primarily due to his understanding that every single site is completely unique. There is no “one” way or truly similar way to approach any site project. Each site contains its own constraints and design elements (i.e. owner’s wants, budget, space capacity, and local and state requirements).

Nick holds his Bachelor of Science in Civil and Construction Technologies. He is skilled in AutoCAd, HydroCAD, Microsoft Office and Excel for technical skills, and has expertise in Stormwater Design and Grading analysis. Nick also completed the EIT (Engineer in Training) Certification in April 2024 and is on track to obtain his PE (Professional Engineer) license. Aside from engineering, Nick is an athlete at heart. In his spare time, he enjoys coaching soccer, watching and playing other sports including soccer, basketball, baseball, and golf, and getting in regular workouts at his Crossfit gym.
