Kevin Kenyon

DESIGN & DEVELOPMENT, C. TUCKER COPE & ASSOCIATES

Kevin was an early adopter of the Building Information Modeling tool in Autodesk Revit and implemented the use of BIM for clash detection. He regularly uses 3D modeling to identify possible design interferences. For example, to detect if any lighting interferes with air ducts in ceiling plan drawings, among other potential clashes. Not only does this save time in the drawing process, but it also allows design issues to be corrected before construction. Kevin has also spoken at several conferences on the use of the software and 3D modeling capabilities.

Kevin holds an Associate of Applied Science in Computer Drafting and Design from ITT Technical Institute and has expertise using AutoCAD, Excel, and Revit. Kevin specializes in architectural and structural drafting as a member of the engineering team. Kevin’s focus is on metal building structures, and he has been a major part of designing complex components of these structures, such as a prototype crane system for one of CTC’s regular clients. Kevin’s philosophy when it comes to engineering is showing up and putting in the work with his best foot forward on every project. In Kevin’s spare time, he donates his time to the community by helping at various churches. He enjoys spending time with his niece and nephew, traveling, and attending pro and college sports games.
