Andy’s first exposure to the construction industry was in early childhood through a family-owned excavating business. Andy worked for his family growing up and through college. After graduating from Bowling Green State University with a Bachelor of Science in Construction Management, Andy jumped right into the design-build commercial construction industry. Andy also spent a few years with a water utility company as a Project Engineer involved with infrastructure improvement. During his time at the water utility company, he was responsible for overseeing the State of Ohio’s water line replacement program.

Andy started with CTC as a Project Manager and has served the role of Vice President of Construction with C. Tucker Cope and Associates for over four years. Most of his time as VP of Construction has been during the company’s period of highest volume in capital. Andy has been an instrumental leader on several complex projects including multiple 100,000+ SF buildings, multiple schools, and has led the charge in completing projects not only from the design-build delivery method but also from the role of Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR).

Andy’s strengths lie in senior level project management and being involved with a project from the initial design stages through final closeout. Andy brings a collaborative mentality and high attention to detail to his leadership approach. He believes in working as a team and in unity when considering how to move forward as a company. One of his priorities is keeping in mind the best interest of the entire organization and of all employees – field and office. Andy is regularly engaged with the field staff for practical solutions and makes every effort to align that with our design team. During Andy’s time as Vice President of Construction, he has played a crucial role in fortifying our direct labor force, post COVID, to what is now one of the more efficient workforces CTC has employed through the company’s long history both in the field and at the management level.

Andy’s leadership ability extends beyond his role as Vice President of Construction. While not at work, he can be found on a football field or basketball court coaching youth football, flag football, or basketball 12 months out of the year. Andy is the head coach and manages several youth teams that compete locally as well as throughout the country. Andy also serves as Athletic Director for a local youth sports program. He enjoys boating and is an avid runner, competing in a marathon and several half-marathons when not coaching. Andy is also a college and pro sports fan and enjoys attending sporting events.
