With over 25 years in the construction industry, C. Tucker Cope has developed a reputation as an outstanding engineer, employer, business owner, and leader. Along with his team, entrepreneurial spirit, and work ethic, he has led and assembled C. Tucker Cope & Associates Inc. into the Design-Build corporation it is today. One of Tucker’s many strengths is helping develop a business owner’s idea into a concept, then taking it from inception to completion.
Tucker grew up in the construction industry and knew from a young age he wanted to be an engineer. During his teenage years his parents, Tucker Sr. & Linda, founded C. Tucker Cope & Associates, where they saw an untapped niche and use for metal buildings. After carrying both a Bachelor and a Master of Science in Civil Engineering from Case Western Reserve University, he started as a design engineer with American Buildings Company. Then after returning home to join the family business, Tucker and his team grew C. Tucker Cope & Associates into a one stop Design-Build corporation. In 2014, he formed Engineering Direct, LLC with a fellow engineer, which handles the engineering design aspect for C. Tucker Cope & Associates, as well as, operating independently as its own business entity. Under Tucker’s leadership, C. Tucker Cope & Associates has been named the “Top Volume Builder” Atlantic Division for American Buildings Company multiple times and consistently been awarded numerous “Excellence in Design” honors.
Tucker is a member of MBCEA, ASCE, and holds his license in five states. He believes in the importance of giving back to his community through volunteering and civic duties. He is on the Park Beautification Restoration Board for the Harvey Firestone Park and holds an elected chair in his communities Planning Commission Board.
In Tucker’s free time he enjoys spending time with his wife Ashley, their children, and family dogs. He enjoys traveling, hiking, riding ATV’s and spending time in the shop rebuilding an old antique dozer.
